One of the Most Worn Items in My Closet

“Price per Wear” is a term that comes to mind when investing in leather pants. Before I took the plunge, over the years I purchased a coated pair of pants, a vegan leather pair and a pair of faux leggings to achieve the look of leather pants. While I enjoyed wearing these pieces, I thought about how much the pants were a staple in my wardrobe and invested in a real pair when they were on sale – I haven’t looked back since. 

I have had my pair for 5 years and I wear them all the time.  I think the trick to pulling them off is to keep it classic and soft on top with a cashmere turtleneck, a blazer, or a tailored coat.  I always wear mine with ballet flats, sneakers, or a low boot to keep the look classic and timeless.  I realize they are an investment but if I added up all I’ve spent on other pants trying to achieve this look, I’ve basically spent the same amount and the real deal is still in my closet. The other pieces have been donated or consigned as the look faded or wasn’t what I really wanted.
