Pizza and Wine

If you are looking to take a trip to Napa Valley but traveling isn’t in the cards for you right now then look no further than Scribe’s offering of Hacienda at Home. Bobby and I took a trip to Napa last year for our anniversary and had the time of our life (I saved the trip highlights on my reel on Instagram if you’d like to take a look!). One of our favorite vineyards we went to was Scribe. It was highly recommended to us and we had to book it months in advance. They serve an amazing lunch with their leisurely wine tasting so be sure to arrive hungry.

We knew Scribe was having a moment before we even got to Napa as we saw their presence all over the dining scene in San Francisco. At each place we dined it was on the menu or we saw that they were hosting an event at the restaurant in upcoming weeks. Once we pulled onto the property, we knew it was something special. After spending a few hours at the estate we fell in love with the hacienda’s decor, the service and the delicious wine and lunch. We promptly joined after our tasting to have reminders of our trip delivered to our home each quarter. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

Since Scribe, like so many others, is unable to host guests currently, they came up with the clever idea of Hacienda at Home. If you place an order, you get wine, tasting notes from the team, and a special recipe (the offering is always changing) and a few ingredients from their farm - all which are delivered to your door with free shipping. The order we placed was for a pizza and wine experience. In our delivery we got a few pizza from scratch recipes, 4 bottles of wine and oregano and chillies from their farm to use on our pizzas. Scribe also has a playlist for you to enjoy while cooking and tasting, so you can feel the ambiance as if you were there in Sonoma at the hacienda enjoying the views and wine. It’s funny how music and just transport you there.

We has such a great time making pizza from scratch (once we located yeast at a grocery store-sold out everywhere so call ahead) and I was pleasantly surprised that they turned out well! We are pizza from scratch rookies but not anymore! The wine and playlist complimented the pizza nicely and we enjoyed reminiscing about our time at Scribe as we devoured our slices. It looks like the next Hacienda at Home is for trout and some white Scribe wines. I highly encourage you to take advantage of this offering. It really makes a fun date night!
