Love Tokens

Valentine’s Day is pretty traditional in our house. We make a nice lobster dinner and try to pair it with some amazing wine or champagne, or we go out to one of DC’s coveted restaurants. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the Washingtonian magazine names it’s top 100 restaurants of the year right before Valentine’s Day.

But sometimes, it’s those thoughtful little gifts for each other that are most appreciated. Here are a few love tokens that caught my eye recently when thinking about Valentine’s Day.  Regardless if it is a rainy day, you decide to stay in for a cozy day at home, or a day at the gym - these little sweet tokens will make you smile and feel loved all year round.

One of my favorite Valentine’s Day experiences was when my husband bought the sticky notes and hid them all around the house.  It made me smile all day and over the whole weekend as I found them in various places that he hid them.  On coffee machine, next to my toothbrush and in my car.   He must have a pack or two hidden away because I sometimes get one or two notes throughout the year out of the blue.
