Frames for Small Art and Photos

I love buying art but when it doesn’t come framed then I struggle to find something to highlight it. It gets stashed in a drawer or out of the way, and it’s placed upon my never-ending list of things to do. Don’t let this happen to you! I am here to help so your art can go from the delivery box directly to your bookcase or wall.

I’ve used Framebridge several times and have been very happy with the results. I usually use this frame and do a float mount. But sometimes you have something smaller and just need a decorative frame, right? Here is what I have found that has worked for me.

When looking for a decorative frame, these are my favorite ones. They are made in Italy and are painted in gold leaf. I think they look so expensive and unique. There are many styles and colors and I mostly use these frames for my small artwork in a 5x7 size. There is also a 4x6 size and larger (Be sure to measure your piece!). This frame fits Alexis Walter’s smalls perfectly! I just remove the glass. I have several of her smalls and use different variations of this frame to display the art throughout my home. See my saved highlight reel on Instagram (byholley) for more examples.

If you’d like an easel to display your artwork or to hold a frame, this one is so beautiful - it’s also adjustable. I also love this bamboo easel and this brass bamboo easel just caught my eye. This acrylic one is a showstopper, and I just recently ordered this marble stand easel. An easel stand is less traditional, and I get a ton of compliments on mine when someone visits my home.

For picture frames and smaller works of art I love these and these. I’ve seen this one sold for over $100 in home stores, but I’ve found it for $20! If you want to add texture, these are stunning! And for a gallery wall, this is my go-to. This is a more affordable option that looks just as nice. I’m also eyeing this style and this style. You can place these frames or easels in bookcases, on dressers or nightstands you name it! And if you need a riser to elevate, these are gorgeous. I love this one too! I even have art displayed in my powder room and kitchen.

You can easily fall down a rabbit hole when researching frames, but I think it’s worth it to get the right frame to highlight the art you’ve already decided on.
