Hats off to Summer!

Now that we are entering the hotter days of summer, it is time to bring out your sun hats. I have a growing collection of straw hats and wear them even on non beach days. You can find me in a straw hat on neighborhood walks, hanging out on the patio and around town in general. It makes sense to have a collection because you can choose from different ribbon colors to match your outfit and different brim withs to protect yourself from the sun. Most of mine are très grand because who wants wrinkles?!?  

My most recent straw hat obsession has a ribbon/scarf looped through the hat that can then be knotted or tied under your chin for a glamorous yet practical look. Doesn’t it make sense to have your hat secured to your head? How many times have you worn a hat and a gust of wind blew it off?!? See, straw hats with a ribbon tie provide you with fashion and function! I also think that it is handy to have the option to hang your hat’s ribbon around your neck or shoulder in case you need a break from wearing it and you don’t want to carry it. Don’t forget your SPF!
